The Wine Museum is closed due to a renovation process!

The one of a kind wine museum on Balkan peninsula is located in Pleven city and is situated in one of the caves in beautiful “Kaylaka” park. The establishment of this museum in Pleven city is not by chance as for centuries the region has been famous for its wine production. In 1890, in Pleven city was established the first school for viticulture and wine production in our country, and later – in 1902, was established the National Wine Institute, as well. The museum exposition presents via tangible material and pictures the wine-producing history since ancient Thracians till the present days. The museum offers also wine tasting that is a short sommelier training and it is very well accepted by the visitors. The museum shop presents a wide selection of wines, produced in regions all over Bulgaria. The museum has 5 galleries, which store 7,000 bottles of old and over 6,000 bottles of modern wines.
